Depends what cycling you are doing really, so a bit more info would be good.

i.e. in towns, pitch dark country lanes, mountain biking in the forest (excellent fun in the pitch black)???

Let us know and hopefully a bit more info will be forthcoming.

Personally I use a Light & Motion set up, which although pricey (£120+) is almost as good as a car headlight on dipped beam, however, price would surely put a lot of people off. It covers all the above situations but battery life is limited to 2 hours, so no long rides!!!!

Might be worth mentioning the type of riding you are doing and your budget.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi, yes, sorry didn't think.

Country lanes and then city, road cycling only, a £100 + on one light is out of my league totally...

fenix l2d torch and handlebar mount.
battery charger and some gp2700 aa batteries.

should cost less than £75. torch lasts about 90mins/2h on turbo mode on a set of aa's. i used mine last winter and it was great for country lane unlit commuting.
