What ever happened to him? he was the first brit to win an ironman in 1999 and i havernt heard anything of him since, has anyone else?

    I trained with Matt Belfield back in 2002.. He is a great bloke and an immense talent but he dissapeared off the planet and i lost touch with him back in 2003 when i moved to Australia.

    Matt has some firnds in the fitness dept at Club la santa lanzarote
