10 Peaks - the UKs toughest charity challenge

Some people may read the headline and dispute that. But the stats speak for themselves. The 10 Peaks involves climbing the 10 highest peaks in the Lake District in one continuous walk/run covering 73km with at least 5600m of ascent in 24 hours. Of the 52 people that took part last year no one finished. You are probably thinking that no one was fit enough, prepared enough, experienced enough? But you'd be wrong, the field included ironman triathletes, adventure racers, elite marathon runners, fell runners and armed forces. The reason no one finished was mainly due to the unpredictible nature of The Lakes, the one thing you can't really prepare for. Will the sun shine on us this year? Will you be the first person to finish the 10 Peaks Challenge? If you think you're in with a chance or simply just want to push yourself to the limit in some of the UK's most magnificant surroundings visit http://www.10peaks.com
