outside in triathlon

Hi Im doing my very first triathlon on the 8th Oct in Winborne. I believe this one is run/bike/swim not really what I wanted but only one I could fit in. Can anyone give me more info on this type of tri Im assuming it will be easier due to trans from run to bike instead of bike to run. ????
