Hi, cycling shoes usually have 3 velcro straps across for fastening which open from the outside of the shoe. Triathlon shoes are specially designed for speed in the transition area so have one velcro strap, which opens from the inside of the shoe has it is easier to pull off whilst still cycling, they also have a pull loop on the heel to make it easier and quicker to get on.

With a good shoe they are lined so that you have no need to put on socks making T1 that bit quicker!!![;)]

plus the lining is supposed to make it comfortable to wear without socks

I've asked this one before, but has anyone any experience of Lake shoes, have they a lose fit or tight fit, are they light or heavy etc.?
