I'm giving this a go. 3rd ever tri at all Startford Tri last Oct and Grendon last week. I'm thinking this might be quite hard.

I am hoping to do the Big Beaver but not entered yet, I realise entry closes Monday noon but have a slight niggle on my shin/ankle so waiting to see if I have any reaction after tomorrows 100 mile bike.

I have not done this race before but have sources that say it is a tough course.
The swim is shallow and your can touch the bottom of the lake with your hands in places, this churns up all the silt making it a visability nightmare.
My tactics for this will be smash out the first 200m to get clear of the pack then settle into a nice stroke and try and draft the faster guys:)
The bike is rolling hills, with a cheeky one leading upto the castle.
Dont know about the run though.
Should be a good race:) and we all get a race pack up of high 5 goodies!
