New Bike

Hi All

I've finally managed to narrow my choice of bikes down to either a Boardman Comp or a Giant Defy 2, both come out at about the same price ~£650 so I was wondering what difference there is between the two.

I need to get it soon as I've got the Hathersage Hilly in 3 weeks time and don't fancy tackling hills on my rather old mountain bike even with slick tyres....

    Both are good bikes for the price - though the Boardman will probably be better specced, but then again maybe not. Best bet is to try both and see which one suits you best.

    Try before you buy is my advice based on recent experience. You may struggle to get a test ride on the Boardman, but it depends on your local halfords.
