Stress and Depression

I've been diagnosed with stress and signed off of work and wondered if there are any others that have been in the same position, where you need to train/participate in exercise to help release the endorphins to keep you in a good place, but your low mood prohibits you from training/participation.

I'm stuck in a rut that I'd love to get out of and would like to here from fellow athletes that may have been in this situation.

Thanks in advance

Hi, I've not been in there but wanted to say hang in there you'll get there. How about training with others? A running partner, group or club or a Parkrun. I always find it easier to train with others when I'm low on motivation.

    Hi.

I too suffer with stress, depression and anxiety. I'd say just get out there and do it. I know it's tough. And there are days when you can't get up early to train. I'm not if training so hard takes more out of you or helps with the endorphins but at least it gives you some kind of focus outside the darkness. Good luck mate.
