3 runs a week...

Hi all,

I was wondering what people's recommendations would be for someone (me) who has time/fitness/injury resistance etc to do 3 runs a week.

What would be the best combo of runs e.g. pace/distance/interval and timings when Olympic distance tri’s are your goal?

Any advice greatly consumed.

    I try and get in 3 or 4 runs a week.

    Sunday long run 10-11 miles easy pace

    Tuesday recovery run 3 miles easy pace

    Thursday Tempo or intervials total of 5 miles 1 to warm up and 1 to warm down

    Friday this is the one i either drop or do as a brick but at easy pace

    theres a smartcouch programme on runnersworls.co.uk that is useful for spacing

    Thanks for the advice, it's not too far from what i do at the moment except i rarely do a run over 10 miles unless i have a 1/2 marathon coming up.

    I'll try and get a longer run in more often.
