Bike Position/Geometry

Posted this in the training forum but thought it might get more traffic here...

I have decided to open myself up to ridicule and invite constructive comment on my position and geometry on the bike by posting some video of me on the turbo here :

I figure there is a lot of expertise out there I could draw upon.
Please feel free to comment either on You Tube or here...thanks in advance.

i'm no expert on the matter but, when the crancks lie in the vertical your leg isn't extending enough. This would suggest that the saddle is a bit too low and it also explains why you bounce around a bit. Although wait for others to post what they think

I agree with apan790, you don't look as if you are extending enough, when I looked at the footage I also saw this:

  • Thanks for the help chaps. I have adjusted the seat hight a little and moved the seat forward to have knee over pedal axis when cranks horizontal - this feels a bit better and interestingly seems to have taken a bit of pressure off a niggly knee pain. So...all the insight appreciated and still welcome.
