I know its been done before but............................I am going to find it hard again this winter to muster the correct mind set to get out there and do the base training we all need.
With that in mind lets get each other going by sharing the what we have done each week or day if feel like it!!!!!

Worked very hard at it.....does that count?
Got a half marathon this weekend then I'm having a break for a couple of weeks, getting well and recovering.
Come mid-November I'm going for swim analysis and ramping up for off-season training: turbo miles, long runs, lots of swimming. 2010 season starts in March for me. Eek!
Which Parkrun do you do?
2k swim in pool with breakthough at the stroke timing (hooraaaaH ): check!
11k commute cycling daily: check
finally getting my act together and getting off my butt: hopefully check!!!!
As a word of warning for any other rookies I made the classic error of upping the volume too quickly a month back and developed shin splints. Eased off for a week but didn't rest properly, kept sneaking out for "little" runs and "just a quick cycle". Launched into winter base training doing 3 x 1.5 hour runs, 3 x 40k cycles and 3 x morning swims one week and found myself limping for the bus and hobbling up stairs while also fighting a nice head cold.
Queue ice on legs and no more running for two weeks which led into the GAT officers birthday being
Fri - Go see Greenday at the O2 (yes I am a 36 yr old pop-punk fan )
Head cold has now moved down onto the chest.
Sat - House party, London club and home at 5am
I'm getting too old for this, really I am.
Sun - Hangover, recovery, out to the pub with GAT officers family (where did I leave my Benelin!)
Mon - Day shopping in London as GAT officers present, dinner, cocktails
Shin splints have cleared up, hangovers are gone, barking cough still to be gotten rid of. I can't wait to go out and do some training. It feels like I've not done anything in about 2 years!
30 minute strength session on the turbo.
Strength session today
The days are getting shorter!!!!!!
Anyway I digress:
10k run
1hr bike and 1000 swim
5k quick run
1hr brick session in gym today
That will be all ... rest of the week socialising ... will have to sneak out at the weekend to do a quick run before my friend notices!!
Splits: 6 miles @ 42 mins; 13.1 miles @ 1:35; 19 miles @ 2:19; 26.2 miles @ 3:35. Those last 7 miles HURT, especially the underpass. Wanted 3:20 but happy to finish on the day.
Last 2 weeks just yoga stretching hips, groin, ITB.
Mon: Run 6 miles 42 mins
Today: cyclocross training session with local bike club. Superb intervals on slimy grass. HR up at 175
Start my Endurance Nation inspired training next week, 20 weeks on increasing power and speed on bike/run.
Ade
Fri -gym session
Sun 25k cycle - managed to conquer one of the steep hills for the first time ever - but wobbled and walked some of the 2nd (still there's plenty of time till my hilly next and 2nd tri in Tonbridge in May - may have to upgrade from my mountain bike before then)
Tues - crap attempt at a swim - got away early from work, but it's half term and pool was filled up by very little people learning to swim - didn't want to power by and upset them, so gave up after 15mins
This morning (making the most of about two weeks worth of light mornings) 5k run (well I call it running- but most of you wouldn't). much room for improvement there!!!
Big respect. I get bored after 20 minutes.
It's weird. 1500m is no bother OW, when I'm in the pool I fall apart after 100m!
Sunday - 4 mile run...steady (i.e. slow pace)....aiming for LSD during the winter...
Tues - 20km on my old mtb bike (tried to move my lights over but they didn't fit my trek roadie)...very strange being back on mtb with knobbly tyres on the roads
Weds - 30 km bike ride (road bike)...tackled some very busy hills before if went dark!
now if i could just raise the game to get some swimming done my lessons may pay off...
sunday: Lunch
Monday: Nothing
Tuesday: 1hour spinning class, straight into 45 swim drills class
Wednesday: Nothing
Thursday: Swim drills
I hate to run, I must try harder, I hate to run, I must try harder
Weds - 40k undulating bike.
Fri - bike again, hopefully!
.......my tight Lycra spotting skills in the gym
60 mile bike today ( Ballbuster route 5 times) and now training on a few beers.
Warm up
6 * 200m
5 * 400m
Cool down
Resting today - legs are still shot after Duathlon at the weekend.
Half Marathon this Saturday.
Wednesday - 65km ride trying to equal split over 3 x 20km sections
Thursday - Recovery session
Friday - 11km run @ zone 1/2
