    02/03/09: 12st 04lb (78kg 23.3 BMI)

    09/03/09: 12st 03lb (77.5kg 23.2 BMI)

    16/03/09: 11st 13lb (75.75kg 22.62BMI)

    23/03/09: 12st 01lb (76.66kg 22.89BMI)

    30/03/09: 11st 13lb (75.75kg 22.62BMI)

    Touched 11st 10lb sometime last week, but then had some nice eating at the weekend prio to the race. Bang on the race target of 12st 00lbs - but that was the only thing that went according to plan.

    Had a dodgy bit of shellfish yesterday - so spent all night loosing weight. Given up on the plan for a swim this morning. Petrified that I would pollute the pool too much [;]

    01/04/09 - 96.3 kg

    The aim is 95kg by end of May, but thinking I may be able to stretch this target a little further....................

    I've lost 7.1 kg this year so far. Who knew that 17 hour training weeks would have this effect................. [image]http://forum.220magazine.com/micons/m9.gif[/image]

    06/04/09: 11st 10lb (74.39 22.62BMI)

    Body fat percentage is also dropping. Adding cycling into the mix (still can't run) is paying dividends.

    The missus said I reminded her of TV's (Mad Men's) heart throb Don Draper. Good stuff. She went on: "Yes, you and handsome and immaculately turned out Don Draper have something in common - you both have really beautiful wives". Oh well.

    But, I am now a "light weight" man! So, my rowing has just got a lot better, relatively speaking.

    I'm on 71ish at the moment, at 6'1, that gives me a BMI of 20.6.

    My aim is sub 20 BMI, the lowest for a healthy runner is 19 really. Which means I am aiming for approx 69kg

    The funny thing is, since I stopped running I have lost a fair bit of weight, at my heaviest around xmas(I didn't overeat) I was about 75kg. I think its because i've been able to train more as there has been less stress put on the body by running.

    Even so, I always wanted to loose the weight to make me a faster runner, I was running at just under 5 min mile for 5k on track and 5.10-20 for 10k on road. Funnily enough, I ran for the 1st time in 3 months the other day, my hip felt ok so I gave it a go, and I ran just under a mile at 5min/mile pace and felt good! I haven't done that in 3 months and my speed is still there! wohoo!

    01.04.09 = 73.8kg

    08.04.09 = 73.3kg

    15.04.09 = 74.4kg

    All going in the right direction, although had a few pints of the electric apple juice over the long weekend and undid some of my good work.

    a question if i may.

    do any of you find that your peeing all the time?

    i had quite a gut on me, but its rapidly vanishing.im down a stone since jan and i have mantained muscle due to the odd bit of resistance training. bout twice a week.

    so i am thinking that since i am burning bodyfat, i must be peeing out the water thats stored with/in the fat thats released in the process??or am i wrong.......

    i have been going long, like 2h runs and bikes with just water. no sugar or gells/bars. staying in my zones and for the first time in my life,im stripping the fat away. week by week i can see a massive difference.

    but this constant stream of piss is pissing me off.

    and im not any drinking more than i used to.

    either im right or i have prostate trouble.

    opinions please?

    thanks inadvance.

    halfa.

    Ye gods! And all of the gain was since the Good Friday holiday. That's about half a stone in a week.

    Just goes to show what eating, drinking too much, together with not taking any exercise can do. And I don't think it's all been converted to muscle.

    Anyway, my question about "how much should I drink" seems to have been answered. Back on the wagon for me.

    13/04/09 - 95.5 kg

    20/04/09 - 94.1 kg

    My first target was 95kg by end of April, so I am there - Woohoo!!! [image]http://forum.220magazine.com/micons/m9.gif[/image]

    My next target is 90kg by end of July, just before IMUK.

    As for the 'pissing' - absolutely the same. Feel like I am drinking more too, but the amount that is coming out doesn't seem proportional!!!

    Hmm.. Must read the "what have you eaten today thread". Just been reading about how you start to loose condition after about three weeks of inactivity - VO2Max starts dropping away etc. etc.

    Well finally after not losing any weight for god knows how long it has suddenly started dropping off in the last month. Weird as I didn't notice it that much but everyone has suddenly started saying 'look how skinny you are!'. I refuse to have scales at home but weigh myself at the gym and last time I was down to about 70.1kilos. When I converted this into stones it equates to having lost around a stone. So that's good. Think the muscle build up was just making me plateau and I have now peaked and started fat burning instead. Long may it continue (although hoping my boobs don't get any smaller now!!)
